Rwanda to Celebrate World Water Day, International Day of Forests and World Meteorological Day 2019 (Ministry of Environment - Friday, 15 March 2019) -- The Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Infrastructure, together with partners and affiliated agencies will celebrate World Water Day, the International Day of Forests, and World Meteorological Day 2019 together in recognition of the interconnections and interdependencies between our water and forest resources and our climate. The three global events will be marked in Rwanda by a set of activities including a media tour, water resources management conference, a “Walk for Water” in the City of Kigali and the launch of landscape restoration activities in Upper Nyabarongo catchment. These initiatives will raise awareness and highlight the importance of water, forests and climate in our daily lives and the need to protect them for health and well-being. Read More
