New strategy to curb Malaria unveiled (Rwanda Eye - Wednesday 16 November 2016) -- The ministry of healthy has unveiled its new plan that will lead to malaria pre-elimination over the next years. Rwanda, Italy sign MoU on climate change (The New Times - Wednesday 16 November 2016) -- Rwanda and Italy yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening and coordinating the efforts to combat global climate change. Three arrested over illegal mining (Rwanda Eye - Monday 14 November 2016) -- Police in the Northern Region has arrested three men who were found trafficking 72kg of wolfram and 31 kg of cassiterite that were illegally mined. Government Approves Nearly 50 Mining, Exploration Licenses (KT Press - Saturday 12 November 2016) -- Rwanda on Friday licensed up to 50 mining companies – as independent international studies show the country has more mineral wealth than previously known. A cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame approved 37 new licenses for various mineral and quarry sites. Young Africans and the implementation of NDCs : an informal discussion and festivity in the Green Zone (COP22 website - Thursday 10 November 2016) -- “Young People are part of this process, not just onlookers,” it’s because of this principle that, starting at 9h, in the Agora room, in the Green Zone, the youth contingency of civil society, l’AYICC, brought together several contributors for a discussion on youth initiatives for the NDCs.
