Rwanda Green Fund holds a PPD orientation workshop
Rwanda Green Fund - FONERWA is holding a two days Project Profile Documents’ orientation workshop on November 6 - 7, 2019 at Lemigo Hotel, Kigali, just a few days after launching its 10th Call for Proposal specifically targeting Non-Government Organizations (NGOs).
The 10th call for proposal invites nonprofit organizations to submit Project Profile Documents (PPDs) requesting financial support to implement projects contributing to sustainable development and climate resilience. It will be open from the 1st November to 2nd December 2019.
This workshop is a way for the Rwanda Green Fund to orient the stakeholders on proposal development/ PPD orientation, enhance skills of interested NGOs and ensure the received PPDs would be of good quality.
The Submission of the Project Profile Document is the first step in the application process as it provides an overview of the project idea in order to assess how well it conforms to the fund’ eligibility criteria and national priorities in regard to environmental and climate change concerns.
The workshop providing training on proposal development and orientation through introductory training to the local and national NGOs on the proper development of quality Profile Project Documents (PPD).
About 80 NGOs focusing on environment and climate change in this workshop are discussing strategy, material, and structure of how the PPD is developed. The identified participants include national registered NGOs as an effort to reach rural communities and the population at large where these NGOs operate.
FONERWA staff will also be offering Technical assistance to organisations willing who will require more information on applying for the grant throughout this period. The Fund will avail a maximum funding of US $200,000 for each project and the organisation applying for grant is only required to provide co-financing to demonstrate capacity for sustainability.
